Uh Oh

by Void Contact

/

about

This is a very special track for the members of the band for multiple reasons: 1. It was co-written with the members of Jellyfish and The Lickerish Quartet. 2. It features guitar performances from one of our original members all the way back in the 80's - Brian Vance. It was a real pleasure to write and produce! Brian was actually the person who introduced us to Jellyfish back in the day!

lyrics

Verse 1
Uh oh, don’t you know
I’m looking for a place to hide
You know and I know that the lunatics are running wild
We see it every day whether we like it or not
Something has got to change ‘cause the kitchen’s getting’ awful hot!

Chorus 1
I Don’t Know
These are strange days indeed

Verse 2
Uh oh, Here we go
Trying to make it make sense
No matter what we say, the conversation’s getting tense
With words, the games we play
It’s hard to tell the rules
No matter what you say
Somebody’s going to blow their cool

Chorus 2
I Don’t Know
I Don’t Know
These are strange days indeed

Bridge
Wake up on Monday
Start the week’s routine
Stare at the same four walls
A solitary scene
Then the pressure starts to build
Feel the mounting stress
Where will the madness end is anybody’s guess

Chorus 3
I Don’t Know
I Don’t Know
I Don’t Know
I Don’t Know
These are strange days indeed
